Introduction
The engineering that matters most on an F1 car cannot be photographed. The forces, the airflow, the split-second change of direction — so Petronas asked us to build what no camera can catch, frame by frame, entirely in CG.

The Challenge

‘Delta’ means to move in another direction. That was the brief from Petronas’ F1 team: take an idea — the relentless power the car holds over its environment — and make it visible, without leaning on a single frame of race footage. No broadcast cameras, no archive, no onboards. If the film was going to show what the car does to the world around it, we would have to build every frame ourselves.

Our Approach

So we built it in Unreal and Cinema 4D. Niagara drives real-time fluid simulation — air tearing and reforming around the bodywork — while sharp angular linework traces the car’s speed in fast bursts of energy and glitches cut hard against its motion. Renders went UE-to-Nuke for composite, then into After Effects for the finish. Speed, drawn rather than filmed.

The Result

The result is a full-CG brand spot for one of the grid’s biggest names — hero film, cutdowns, social verticals cut for every feed. No race footage, no stock library, nothing off the shelf. Concept, simulation, composite: all of it under one roof, none of it borrowed. Delta means moving in another direction. We took the brief at its word.
