About this notice

This notice explains how Cut/Run uses cookies and similar browser storage on this website. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and we have written this in plain English so you can see exactly what happens when you visit.

What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files a website can save in your browser. Local storage and session storage do a similar job: they let a site remember small pieces of information, either until you close the tab or until they are cleared. Some websites use these tools to track people across the internet. This one does not.

What this site actually uses

This site is fully static and uses functional browser storage only:

• a single sessionStorage flag (named crLoaderPlayed) so the home-page loading animation plays once per session rather than every time you return to the home page;
• nothing else — our code sets no cookies and writes no other storage entries.

None of this identifies you, follows you to other websites, or is shared with anyone. We use no analytics, no advertising trackers and no marketing cookies of any kind.

Like every website, our web server receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page — such as your IP address and browser type in routine server logs. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure.

Video and fonts

The videos and fonts on this site are hosted by us, not streamed from third-party platforms. Watching our work here does not set any third-party cookies and does not send your details to an outside video or font service.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to our profiles on Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Those platforms only receive information about you if you choose to click through to them. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply, so it is worth reading those if you have concerns.

Managing storage in your browser

You can clear or block cookies and site storage at any time through your browser's privacy settings, usually found under "Privacy" or "Site data". Because we only use functional storage, this site keeps working if you block it — at most, the loading animation may play more often than it otherwise would.
