Introduction
When JLL took Manly Wharf to market for TMG, the asset wasn’t floor space — it was a piece of Sydney. The film had to sell a working harbourfront icon: the ferries, the dining, the history, and the upside sitting on top of all three.

The Challenge

Manly Wharf isn’t a listing, it’s a landmark — and landmarks don’t sell on floor plans. JLL needed an investment campaign film that could hold the history of Henry Gilbert Smith’s pier, the energy of the ferry crowds, and a hard commercial case for what comes next, without any of the three cheapening the others. One film, one arc: the history, the harbour, the upside.

Our Approach

We opened the vault before we opened the drone case. Restored British Pathé archival of the old No 3 Jetty runs graded against present-day aerials of the same water, so a century collapses in a single cut. Over the top: scripted supers carrying the owner’s own words, and a 3D masterplan overlay that draws the leasing and development upside directly onto the wharf it belongs to — including the $25 million, government-backed upgrade to Wharf 3.

The Result

The finished film buys into the history and delivers on the future — literally the closing line of the campaign. Heritage, lifestyle and investment fundamentals land as one continuous argument rather than three competing ones, and the wharf reads exactly as JLL positioned it: a core piece of Sydney infrastructure with genuine upside still on the table.
