Nobody dreams about flooring. The customer standing at the sample table isn't choosing a texture swatch — they're choosing what the next ten years of their home will look like, and the swatch tells them almost nothing about it. Most retail flooring advertising makes it worse: product close-ups, price flashes, a store address. The category sells carpet. The customer is buying a room.
So we shot the decision instead of the product. An empty house being imagined into a home, room by room — the sample table as the turning point, the moment the idea arrives. Then the payoff: the rooms it becomes, and the family living in them rather than posing in them. The flooring is in every frame and the hero of none — which is exactly where a floor belongs.
One TVC set the tone, nine cutdowns carried it through every break length, and a run of retail assets took it in-store across sixty Andersens stores. That's the quiet win: not one ad but a system — a library the network still cuts from, so the next promotion starts with footage that already knows what it's selling. Fresh ideas, on file.
Concept & production: CUT & RUN.
