Introduction
Frozen herbs have to overcome the word frozen. Jase’s Kitchen makes frozen herb and flavour drop-ins you tear straight into the pan — a lovely demonstration, if you can get a freezer-aisle shopper to stand still for it.

The Challenge

Frozen herbs have to overcome the word frozen, and a freezer-aisle product gets about three seconds to do it. Nobody lingers in that aisle — they’re in, out, and past you before the door mists over. So the brief wrote itself: don’t explain the product, demonstrate it, and do it fast enough that the shopper who never slows down doesn’t have to.

Our Approach

We put a chef’s hands at the centre of it and shot the whole spot at arm’s length — the tear, the drop, the pan, the pour — so the demonstration is the ad. When the hands know what they’re doing, you stop reading it as advertising and start reading it as a recipe. No lifestyle padding, no dinner-party montage — just the product doing its one trick, close enough to want it.

The Result

Then we closed on the range with the aisle it lives in — all five SKUs, with Woolworths and selected IGA visible in the film, so the last five seconds tell you exactly where to walk. The spot ran across broadcast and in-store, with six cutdowns working the shorter shifts. A retail ad that ends where the shopper starts: at the freezer door.
